Went in on a Fri morning 9 am for a brake job- Called me within the hour with an estimate- Had my car back by noon! Prices were fair/reasonable. Outstanding communication/customer service (esp. Hovig!) Would definitely recommend

I've been going to Funk Bros for nearly 5 years and they have been so reliable at detecting problems and repairing quickly, efficiently and cost effectively that I feel so lucky to have found their service in LA. I've taken in both a PT Cruiser and Audi TT for minor and major repairs and always experience great customer service and cost effective solutions.

I can't say enough great things about this place. They are some of the friendliest guys around. I took my Shelby GT350 in today after putting a nail in my tire. I was expecting to hear that I needed to put $300+ into a new performance tire. On the contrary, they were able to patch it... And then they said it was free of charge! Even when I tried to give them a $40 tip, they said it was too much. This type of service should be emulated everywhere, and I suggest you take your car there if you want it in the best hands in LA. I found a nail in my tire in Laguna Beach right before heading back to LA, took it to Costco Tires who said they'll look at it and if they could patch it, it would take an hour and a half. They called 45 minutes later, said it was a no go. Driving back to Los Angeles on a spare and not being able to go over 50 mph was brutal! I took my car to these guys - they patched it up, put my spare back in the trunk, had me in their system and out of the garage in literally 10 minutes. Note to self: also write a one star review for Costco Tires San Juan Capistrano.

Amazing! Hovig is the main guy there and fixed my smoked up overheated BMW same day! Fast, friendly & efficient service and the best price. Probably the only guys I'll go back to whenever I drive my car into LA! Thanks Hovig!!!

Probably saved a thousand bucks today taking my car there. A dealer would have racked me over the coals, but Hovig at Funk Bros is honest and straight up with car problems.. Once you bring your car there, you'll never go anywhere else for service.

I went to Funk Brothers after just moving into the area. They indicated I could come in for an oil change in the next morning and get right in for an oil change and told me it would be over an hour when I arrived the next day. I brought Mobil 1 0w-30 for my 2004 Volvo S40 and the owner told me he couldn't change the oil because it wasn't recommended by the manufacturer. I subsequently explained to him that it was approved for all of the Volvo specifications and showed him the documentation. He went on to indicate the technolgy reasons that it could not be allowed for the application which was incorrect. I happen to be an engineer in the lubricants industry and his explanation was blatantly incorrect. It makes me believe that he just makes up recommendations in other even more important areas that I would worry about as a customer. If the owner reads the reviews, I would recommend that he read about motor oils and he will soon learn that Mobil 1 0w-30 is fit for the Volvo application. He might also consider calling Volvo to educate himself. Regardless, he is clearly more worried about taking people's money because I brought my own oil than doing what is correct.

I'm a car guy, and have brought Peter, Hovig and the team here everything from the newest Saab to vintage British classics. They truly know their stuff, care about their customers, and are simply the most trustworthy, reliable shop in Los Angeles. Whatever you drive, whatever the problem you're having, Funk brothers will get you fixed and charge a fair price to do it.

I have been going to them for years. They are truly amazing mechanics. No job is too big or small for them. We have two cars and always know that whatever the problem, they will take care of it. They are also very fair in their pricing and honest about what work actually needs to be done on the cars.

These guys are fantastic. I have lived in the area 10years and just found them when I was in quick need of a tire. I was on my way to the airport and my service light came on, I pulled into the first place I saw. It was 12pm and all the mechanics were on lunch. I told them I was in a rush and they the tire in minutes. There are a lot of auto places in the area, I've been to a few. This one is my new favorite.
