I had two separate issues that I needed diagnosed and repaired. The first was a shaky engine. The shop told me the brand new motor mounts I had put in recently were aftermarket and I needed to get a whole new set. My mechanic who put them in said they were Honda original so I was skeptical and only replaced the last remaining old one with Funk Bros. It did nothing to fix the shaking. It turned out the issue was with the engine valves and once fixed, the problem went away. It wasn't necessary to replace the fourth mount, yet alone all of them. The other issue was the steering wheel shaking at high speeds. The guy who checked out the wheels said the balance was off and corrected them free of charge. Great, except for his 'correction' made the shaking even worst. I ended up going to Firestone, had the wheels rebalanced properly, and now the problem is gone. I understand sometimes a car problem is mysterious and the diagnostic may be wrong, but at Funk Bros, I didn't feel they cared enough to fully inspect the problem, rather throw a high cost repair my way and see if I take the bait.
