Funk Brothers has been servicing my vehicles for over 30 years. As soon as one of my vehicles is out of factory warrantee I have all service done by Funk Brothers. They even serviced my Lamborghini Espada. They have always done a great job at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Funk Brothers. Peter, Hovig & Joe have always taken great care of my vehicles.

Told me that I had to replace my two front tires that day, or else it would be dangerous to drive. They may have been right, but it ultimately cost $350, and the tires are not top of the line. They also encouraged me to replace the back tires. I just got a second opinion from a mechanic who told me my back tires are fine. If I were thinking the worst of them, they were skeezy and manipulative. If I were thinking the best, I didn't get a very good deal.

This place is the best by far I've experienced in my 10 years in LA. I have an old Ford Bronco that I love but has been a money pit over the years. I was on the verge of getting rid of it for good when it last went wrong six weeks ago. I took it in to Funk Bros as they had great reviews on here, and it's right by my house. It's been a nightmare trying to source what was actually wrong with the truck - the electrics were messed up, the computer was messed up.... Anyway - long story short Joe couldn't have been more courteous and helpful, and they sorted out the problem at a great, great price. A really wonderful place - sadly a rarity in today's world... people who don't rip you off, help you out, and do what they say they are going to do! Five stars - highly recommended.

My Lexus ES300 needed to be fixed so I bring the car to the Funk Brothers Auto with the trouble code P0330: Knock Sensor Circuit Problem. Mechanic offered to replace knock sensors to fix the problem based on trouble code. I paid for the repair total around $900 for the labor and 2 knock sensors. Later on the week engine light come on with the same code. I came back to the service. Mechanic said me that possible the reason of the trouble code not a knock sensors. Probably make sense try to fix other parts. Tune up engine replacing ignition coils, spark plugs etc. Invest more money. But I already paid $900 for the trying to fix the car, but I got nothing instead. I came to the service expecting to get my car fixed because as I thought it should be done right by professional mechanics. When mechanic can find a real cause of the problem. That actually easy to find out if try to make a research about common problems of exact car. I guess if mechanic charge $400 for labor it make sense to replace cheap parts around that could be soon cause of other problems or if they could be even cause of the trouble code in exact case especially if the car old. They didn't do it instead of it just knock sensors was replaced, old baked wires, gaskets wasn't. Besides my car wasn't fixed I found that they used aftermarket parts instead OEM, I guess it is normal in many services, but I didn't expect I can get aftermarket parts with much higher price than OEM parts. Every knock sensor cost me $250 compare to $100 on Amazon and compare to the OEM sensor which you can buy from Lexus dealer for ~$160. Later I redo their job and the car works good now. I can't recommend Funk Brother Service based on my experience.

Amazing. Mind blown. My regular mechanic quoted me $1,000 to fix my truck. My truck dies on sunset so I all the nearest shop and they not only gave me the number to the fastest towing service ever, but had my truck running within two hours for $150. I also appreciate that they open 30 minutes before all the other shops. I will gladly commute to Hollywood to have them fix my truck for now on

Went in on a Fri morning 9 am for a brake job- Called me within the hour with an estimate- Had my car back by noon! Prices were fair/reasonable. Outstanding communication/customer service (esp. Hovig!) Would definitely recommend

I've been going to Funk Bros for nearly 5 years and they have been so reliable at detecting problems and repairing quickly, efficiently and cost effectively that I feel so lucky to have found their service in LA. I've taken in both a PT Cruiser and Audi TT for minor and major repairs and always experience great customer service and cost effective solutions.

I can't say enough great things about this place. They are some of the friendliest guys around. I took my Shelby GT350 in today after putting a nail in my tire. I was expecting to hear that I needed to put $300+ into a new performance tire. On the contrary, they were able to patch it... And then they said it was free of charge! Even when I tried to give them a $40 tip, they said it was too much. This type of service should be emulated everywhere, and I suggest you take your car there if you want it in the best hands in LA. I found a nail in my tire in Laguna Beach right before heading back to LA, took it to Costco Tires who said they'll look at it and if they could patch it, it would take an hour and a half. They called 45 minutes later, said it was a no go. Driving back to Los Angeles on a spare and not being able to go over 50 mph was brutal! I took my car to these guys - they patched it up, put my spare back in the trunk, had me in their system and out of the garage in literally 10 minutes. Note to self: also write a one star review for Costco Tires San Juan Capistrano.
