Hands down the best pricing. I just moved here from GA and I was thinking it was going to be an arm and a leg to pay for a repair. After talking with peter, he quotes me an amazing deal on replacing a back bumper and taillight for a Honda civic lx...Great service and it was fast too. That is why Im going back to have them replace my alternator this week. I would recommend this company to everyone in need of car repair

Excellent service, & fair prices. I am glad I brought my car here. I was hesitant to bring my car to an independent mechanic because they mostly are dishonest with pricing. They usually add on random charges when you go to pay. But here, they did exactly what I needed and didn't add on unnecessary charges. They fixed what was wrong with my car and that was it. It runs great again.

Some of my friends take their vehicles to Funk brothers so I figured I would take my car there as well. They are nice guys that seem to know what they are doing. The check my car and got the oil changed in an hour so I was happy with that. The price wasn't outrageous either. I would recommend taking your car to funk brothers before 9am or it can be extremely busy.

THESE GUYS SUCK! So that big sign of theirs that says they're in the "customer service" business? Yeah, its crap. All these other positive reviews don't matter- what really matters is when a business screws up, you expect them to take responsibility for it. They don't. 1. They can't give you a detailed estimate because their "system doesn't allow it." So, they pull some numbers out of their ass. So- 2. Their actual prices are going to be over their hand-written, ass-pulled estimates. Makes sense. 3. Their mechanics must be drunk. How do I know this? Because I brought my car in with an ignition interlock device, and when I picked it up it was in lockout violation! 4. If their mechanics aren't drunk, then they don't know how to bypass the interlock- which every other mechanic shop I've been to has been able to manage. Not really a good sign for a business that involves cars and mechanical systems! 5. Management won't own up to their incompetence. When I told them they caused my car to go into violation, they REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

I've been in LA for the past 4 years and they are the only place I go to. I am in the car a lot as my job requires it and so does traveling to auditions. So, I make sure to keep my car in great health and so does Funk Bros. They are the most trust worthy people in LA and the best part is they educate you about is wrong with your car and take the time to properly diagnose it. They don't just jump to the most expensive fix as others do. I recently got my AC compressor fixed from them and the shop closed, but the owner stayed behind thirty minutes because I couldn't get there in time. Great people and Hovig is the man!

it's all true. They're actually really good and HONEST. I will definitely come back. Be careful though: A&M is actually next door, don't go there. I mistakenly went there looking for Funk Bros (I was in a hurry) and got ripped off, LA style.

Recently bought a used SUV, one of the light is on so I took the car here for a check up. They are very knowledgeable and told me straight up what I needed to change, and that I would pay double in the future when my car breaks down from the initial problems, so I need have to fix this now. I took the car in late tuesday afternoon, thinking I can get it out the same day because I was only expecting alignment to be done. But after they analyzed my car the work amount needed for the car will take at least about 1 and a half days. I told them about my situation (my family was gonna take my car for a trip to vegas the following day). So I cant possibly leave the car here for a day, also I had no ride home. I was told they will put 2 men to work on my car and that my car would be done around 12-1pm, still early enough to leave for vegas without hitting heavy traffic. They also gave me a car to drive home without even charging me anything that day, despite they had to order several parts for me.. I appreciate this gesture of trust The next day at 11am, I received a call that my car was ready to be picked up. WOW Car runs great, its a little expensive on the installation labor, but they did a great and fast job. I would rather pay this money than take my car to some shady auto shops that are cheap but don't even fix your cars problem. if your car has problems...These guys will take care of you. I would recommend this place to my friends

The best auto mechanics in Hollywood, period! They're honest, and if there's a less expensive option to fix your car problem, they will tell you about it. Also, when they fix a problem on your car, you don't have to take it back multiple times (like some other mechanics). They do it right the first time!

Professional, knowledgable and trustworthy! Took my 2007 Maxima to my "regular" mechanic in the South Bay for a scraping noise in the right front. After a test drive, he stated it sounded like a wheel bearing. Back at the shop, with the car on the hoist, he "confirmed" the bearing was bad (by using a stethoscope), and the cost was $400. THEN, the owner of the shop (to be Yelped about after i'm done here!), stated the noise was really coming from the transmission, and that it would be $2600.00 to install a used one. Note that i had ZERO tranmission problems (shifting, slipping, leaking, etc) A co-worker advised i speak to Hovig at Funk Bros. The test drive also sounded like a possible bearing to him. After pulling the wheel, he found it was only the axle nut that was loose! He stated the bearing did suffer some wear from driving with the loose nut, but it wasn't "worn out" and didn't need to be replaced right then. Erring on the side of caution, i had him replace it anyway (for way less than $400), and all the noise is gone! I will be bringing the rest of my vehicles here for service from now on.

Don't trust these guys! They responded to my Yelp review stating that they don't install after market parts, but they did give me a quote of $125 per wheel. If they don't install aftermarket parts - then why did they give me a quote? I left not because of the quoted price, but do to the fact that these guys were speaking another language between them - when I'm asking questions (there is something very shady with that)! P.S. - KYB and Monroe don't make shocks/struts for my car. I can only get OEM specific items from Japan (Nissan/Infiniti) for my model year! Caution with these guys! Femi, We appreciate you considered us for your car needs. We do not install after market (performance oriented) coil over shocks on cars. It is a liability for us. Coil over suspensions such as the kit you brought in change the handling dynamic of your car from its original design. We install only suspension components that meet OEM specifications. As you already know, the dampers you brought in are set to be harder that OEM and your vehicle height lowered from manufacturer recommendations. You are correct, the ride height is adjustable but I doubt you spent more on coil overs and are going to drive at standard height? If so this is why we recommended the standard shocks provided by KYB, Monroe etc. which provide the recommended specification by your vehicle manufacturer and are cheaper. Lowering of the car also alters alignment specifications... This might be what you want but will affect the driving and handling characteristics of your car, potentially reduce the life of your tires etc. Sorry we could not be of service.
