In response to your answer, you are even untruthful about the 'many times' I've been in your shop (I notice you've now deleted that part from your response) - I was in there once for just a smog check...that's it, and yes, I think something fishy was going on and hope it doesn't happen to others - you say the opinion of other less reputable places - I went to the Toyota Dealership and yes, I do trust their opinion of what happened..hopefully with my review it won't happen to others!

My window was stuck & it started pouring rain .... It's about 5:30 I just got out of the office and everyone is closing up. I pass by around 5:49 and these guys are getting ready to close up shop , I tell them what was going on & bada bing bada boom they fix it for free ( WHAT ). I called several places prior asking for estimates and I got $45. Really $45 just to help me lift my window up for the night ? Anyways , this place just made an awesome first impression & i appreciate it ! I will def be back :) thanks guys !

We aren't from this area, and have a wonderful mechanic back home, so we were very skeptical to bring our van to a new shop when our brakes went completely out. We checked out the Yelp reviews and checked out their website, everything seemed legit. When we arrived they were super busy. We were told they would call us later that day when they determined the problem. We got a call about an hour later--it turned out to be our master cylinder. They ordered a new one and said our van was supposed to be ready the next morning. We got notice later that same afternoon that our van was ready to go! The price was reasonable and the timing was amazing! We are very happy with Funk Brothers!!

5th or 6th visit here in a decade - they do it right, every single time. Just cannot say enough great things about Hovig and his crew!

I'm originally a New Yorker - so inherently don't trust anyone. These guys are for real and top notch. Over the last 3 months I've had my brake rotors replaced, alternator replaced, some hoses, oil changed and today my oxygen sensors. (I have a '97 Toyota 4Runner) Each time I've secretly called Pep Boys other shops to see prices - and they are always either lower or comparable. (Maybe $10-15 more - but usually because they are using original parts where they can) They have great workmanship and beyond that they set the right expectations to the customer. They give you options and possible outcomes. They say when the car will be ready and it WILL be ready. Under promise, over deliver. If they were an internet startup I would invest. I really can't more about these guys - really nice but beyond that they get the job done, on time and within budget. I will not go anywhere else.

WOW WOW WOW. Called today for smog check and didn't have my dmv forms, they made an appt with me and said they'd do what they could do hopefully get check to go through and it did. I was in and out of there in 22 minutes and they were so friendly and helpful, and reasonable. Just moved to the hood and already got the auto dudes dialed in!

10/13/14.Called Funk Bros last week asking for a price to install 3 bushings on my 1990 4 runner sr5 4wd. I was providing the bushings after special order from Toyota. Phone answerer referred me to hovig(sp), who told me it would be 100.00. When asked how long it would take he said 1-2 hours. I brought the vehicle in today, and was told that it would be 2 hours at 100 dollars an hour.He told me it needed to disconnected under the car and the 4 wheel drive also had to be disconnected. to put in the bushings for the regular auto shift. This is absolutely not true on the 1990 model,maybe on the later models,per toyota. I brought in the 3 bushings for the gear shift and a illustrated diagram from Toyota parts. I told him that I traveled a long way to bring it to them based on their reviews, and that I had also received an estimate of 60 dollars from someone else. They told me to take it to the other place . Talk about the classic BAIT AND SWITCH game!!!! A 3man shop mechanics making 16000 a month. Do the math. Gimmee a break.No one is getting out of this joint under 200 bucks for anything!!! PS I had my son take the panel off prior and he showed me where it could all be accessed from the top without the 4 wheel drive shift even being affected. I didn't want him to do it because I was afraid he would screw it up and would rather bring it to a highly reviewed professional .Additionally , if one googles this same repair on this same car, a number of people say it is a 10 to 15 minute job..CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! aND BEWARE OF SELF SERVING REVIEWS BY WHO KNOWS WHO !!

I went there to get a smog test and they were super quick and professional. As a woman I love it when you go to a car shop and you don't feel stared at by all the workers. Great place!
