I came in here the other day to check a Cylinder 4 Misfire, which was the code popping up on my car computer sensor. They told me that it was a sticky valve that would cost $3,500 - $4K to fix. I took it home, and my cousin walked me through how to check the ignition coils over the phone. I replaced one of the coils with a new one I got from Autozone for $100, and problem solved. I've driven about 75 miles since the shop, and no problems at all. Don't trust these guys for a second!!!
Barmey. Thank you for the opportunity. We respect your opinion, but with all due respect, we were up front and honest in that we could not duplicate and isolate your concern and diagnose the code P0304 issue, and hence you did not get charged for a repair for your misfire concern you said you had. We told you it COULD be a sticky valve, amongst other things, because of its inconsistent nature but we where not sure because when we swapped the #4 coil and spark plug with the #3, the misfire did not change. We did notice two of the 4 coils had been already replaced, as they looked newer and a different brand. It must be also clarified that we don’t offer valve repairs on any car so we have zero gain in suggesting you do a valve repair that we don’t offer! Ultimately, We are glad your car is running better but unfortunately we could not earn your trust. Good luck
